Non-Treated Plantation Radiata Pine
Radiata Pine is a readily renewable softwood, native to California but now thriving in sustainably managed forests across Australia and New Zealand. It offers a beautiful aesthetic with its light, pale yellow colour. Radiata pine is valued for its workability, making it ideal for strong and reliable trusses. Unlike steel trusses, radiata pine doesn’t conduct heat as readily, helping to regulate temperatures within your home. Choosing a sustainably sourced wood like radiata pine minimises your environmental footprint. However, it’s important to note that additional termite protection measures may be necessary for areas prone to termites.
